Basic take on the SCA: If you have joined the SCA looking for awards, titles and to be the winner of every tournament, get out now. The awards will never come fast enough, you will never have a high enough title and there will always be someone faster, more skillful or just having a better day. My advice is, find something you love and do it. The awards may or may not follow, but at the end of the day you will have the satisfaction of doing something you love.
